As a writer/blogger myself, I know how very hard it is to make money as a freelancer. However, I'd also like to look at it from the other side of the coin. As someone who runs several blogs and websites, I know how hard it is to get people to part with their cash for anything. That's the trouble with the Internet. People want it all for free. It doesn't matter that you've spent hours creating good content. They often demand, or at the very least expect, that it should be free. That, in my view, is a big part of why people who run content based websites can't afford to pay others for their labour. I agree with most of the sentiments expressed in this excellent article.
